Our instructors bring a wealth and breadth of training skills to the club from such diverse backgrounds as obedience, ring-craft, working trials, working to the gun, plus equine show jumping and dressage.
All our instructors are ACAI or are actively working towards that qualification, which we regard as a benchmark.
Our training is reward-based and achieved through a positive system of 'Praise and Play' We welcome the use of clickers and encourage the use of tuggy-toys and treats in early training.
Agility, in common with all energetic sports, can irreparably damage immature bones and joints if started too early.
For this reason we do not accept young dogs under 12 months old for agility training.
Puppies over six months old are welcomed into the Agility Control Course.

Control Courses are ten-week units, held at the start of the autumn or spring terms, but only when there is sufficient space available higher up the club to take newcomers on board.

There are no vacancies at any level in the club.
Our sole point of recruitment is through the Control Course.
There are no plans to hold any further 'Control Courses' in 2010.

We do not maintain a general waiting list as vacancies are so rare and we believe it is unfair to keep people in limbo indefinitely.
